You Just never know…
Many days ago I watched Bill come into the house with the mail in his hand…
drop his keys, badge and sunglasses on the table and begin sorting the mail.
“Junk, Junk, Junk, bill, bill, junk, junk, junk– I hardly EVER get fun stuff to open”
he said with a sigh.
A couple of days later I was out running some errands and picked up a card for
someone and then thought– “Gee- I should send my hubby a card!” So I picked
one out, wrote a note inside of it, addressed it and put a stamp on it.
I put it in Jenny’s mailbox on Friday– it came in Saturday’s mail!
Bill came upstairs where I was working and said “I got a card from my girlfriend!”
The smile on his face was SO worth it!
So were the hugs and kisses …

Where oh where…
…has the time gone?
Enjoyed my time with the girls in Florida– had an awesome lunch with my grandfather!
Really am getting frustrated with this blog.com stuff— half the time it isn’t working or
unavailable. Working on re-establishing my old one…even if I have to pay for it.
Will post when it is ready— just trying to figure out how to save what have here.
Back to work this week and after enduring the same old “blah blah” meetings I am now
working on trying to get the library ready to open and start teaching again.
Looking forward to a fresh start!

YEAH!!! Snoopy Dancing!
I am “Snoopy Dancing” this morning! My baby is HOME!
I have missed her SOOOOO much… the anticipation of her coming home
yesterday was killing me– and then they were late leaving, had car trouble–
a 9 hour trip to boot!
She got in at 2:30 this morning and I have been in her room twice
just to sit on her bed and watch her sleep!
How am I ever going to handle college?????
Girls Night In…
was wayyy fun!
Chinese food
grownup beverages,
movies,
awesome company and
tons of laughter.
Best therapy EVER.

We got a really nice letter today from the Virginia Tech Vet School…
Our vet hospital made a contribution to the VT Vet School in memory of our
buddy Butch! How awesome is that?
Can’t wait to show the letter to the kids (c:

Tacos, Tickles, Talent… Oh RY!
…this was not a good day– in the beginning.
I had MUCH to do and was looking for excuses to stay home and mope.
Finally I decided to take lunch to a friend who was watching some children in her home.
It was a great excuse to go visit and I wouldn’t feel so needy to say–
”I don’t want to be alone! Can I come hang out?” … so off I went bearing Taco Bell.
Now I KNOW, I KNOW I KNOW that I COULD have said… “I don’t want to be alone … “
but I really didn’t have to (c:
After eating, her 5 year old thought he was going to sneak up on me– he did ONCE…
the rest of the time I was able to catch him— and then tickle him! I found myself
smiling— this was such a good thing that then I found I didn’t WANT to leave.
I then left to take Bee’s senior proofs over to another friend’s house to share–
Oh what fun! After about 15 minutes we were laughing… at each other and her
girls. The girls drew me beautiful pictures that are getting a place of honor in my
newly painted living room! These are really NIFTY pictures! Very talented artists!
THEN— Ryan called to tell me that he had received the Navy Achievement Medal!
If you don’t know what that is do a google search! My boy DONE GOOD!!!
Not many folks get one of these awards with only two years in the service—
I am VERY happy for his success!
My day began with dark clouds but has ended with rainbows…

There was a time…
When I loved the solitude of an empty house… let me just say –
Now it is creepy!!!!
Bee is gone to PA. Bill has to work second shift tonight–Ry doesn’t live here anymore.
Just me and the dog and he AIN’T talking!
All the doors are locked, EVERY light in the house is on and the TV is blaring…
Wonder if I can just go to someone’s house and sit in the corner? (c:

Red Dishes Dinner
We celebrated Bill’s birthday yesterday… before Becky left for a week with Hannah in PA.
It was a lot of fun eating our birthday dinner of ribs and fries from the red dishes! Celebration
ended with fresh strawberries and pound cake! YUM!
Bill got a snazzy Orioles baseball shirt and an electronic rain gauge weather station. (Guy toys
never cease to amaze me!)
Actual birthday is Monday–but since he took the day off we will continue the celebration (c:
